Boy Scout Troop 148 of Queenstown assembled and installed benches and picnic tables at Ferry Point Park in April, 2010. The event was lead by Michael Gates of Troop 148 and was completed as Michael’s Eagle Scout Project. Queen Anne's County Park’s & Recreation would like to thank and congratulate Michael and all who assisted for a job well done!

Volunteers Needed for  Conquest Greenhouse & Nursery

The mission of Conquest Greenhouse and Nursery is to propagate trees, shrubs, perennials, bulbs, and annuals using seeds, seedlings, and cuttings. These plants will increase plant diversity in Queen Anne's County and improve the quality of life in the Chespeake Bay Watershed. The greenhouse and nursery will be self sustaining and will encourage and utilize volunteers. The greenhouse and nursery will grow mostly native plants that add color to the landscape, food and habitat for wildlife. The greenhouse and nursery will grow plants for the Parks Department and other Queen Anne's County Departments.
