PARK MEMORIAL GUIDELINES
Preface: It is the policy of The Queen Anne's County Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) to name park facilities in accordance with their geographical location within the County or proximity to existing communities. Nevertheless, the Department recognizes that community residents may wish to memorialize individuals through park memorials. When appropriate, consideration may be given to naming elements or structures (i.e. trees, benches, playground apparatus, sculptures, etc) within community parks in memory of loved ones, community activists, or prominent citizens who resided in Queen Anne's County. The following guidelines have been established to afford residents the opportunity to recognize individuals in this manner.
