From summer camps to swimming lessons or dance classes, all Queen Anne's County Parks and Recreation programs will be online and available for registration on April 1, 2010.

This workshop is taught by Tiffany Shannon Productions, LLC. and will focus on all aspects of putting on a full length musical, culminating in a performance on June 5th. Students will perform an adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass. Cost:  $275

Purpose: To develop fundamental basketball skills in athletes looking to improve in the areas of dribbling, passing, defense and shooting techniques. Offered on Kent Island in April & May.

This class, offered in both Centreville and Church Hill, will build on basic self-defense skills while adding more sophisticated movements and concepts. Students will learn kinesthetic movements as well as additional self-defense techniques and forms. New timing patterns and drills will be incorporated into the instruction. Cost: $85

The Challenger way focuses on challenging players to improve with maximum participation, maximum touches on the ball and maximum fun.  Simply put, no line drills, no long speeches and lots of encouragement. Plus, every camper gets a cool T-shirt and soccer ball!  Campers need to bring shin guards, drinks, snacks and sunscreen.

Old Love Point Park

This eight-week program will introduce girls to the youth lacrosse program while focusing on basic skills, team participation and sportsmanship. Cost: $55

It’s time to work out the Kinks and head back to the Links. This 3 day camp is for junior golfers of all abilities. Clubs are available for those who need them. Cost:$75

A week full of sports, games, movies and much more at Matapeake Elementary. Participants need to bring their own lunch, snacks and drinks each day. This camp fills quickly. Cost: $100

This two day camp experience will plunge participants into the wet and wild world of wetland ecology! Campers will get their feet wet and hands dirty in the wetland areas around Conquest Beach while they collect insects, investigate animal tracks, make a boat out of wetland plants and transform into a flock of migrating birds - all while learning about the importance of wetlands!

ROO (Repurposing Ordinary Objects) teaches children to be creative and eco-conscious by encouraging them to save used materials like shoe boxes, milk jugs and other discarded items and transform them into new creations with new purposes! Cost: $20

Ready for some ooey, gooey, icky fun? Then you must be a supermarket scientist. Create far out mixtures of slime, playdoh, glurch and more from items found at the local grocery store. Cost: $30

Love the great outdoors? Let's go on a nature walk and make some cool creations from items you might find on your excursions! Learn about animals, their behaviors and habitats and more. Increase your knowledge about nature in a fun, interactive way. Cost: $30

Kent Island Elementary School

Learn sound fundamentals and skills of the basic strokes including the serve, forehand, backhand and volley. Students are introduced to singles and doubles play, scoring and rules. Lessons include seven weeks of certified professional instruction, drills and play. Lessons offered on Kent Island and in Centreville. Cost: $105

Children participate in a structured, introductory tumbling class. Skills such as forward roll, crab walk, bridge, handstand, and more will be taught. Props such as hoops, ribbons, and balance beam will be used. Cost: $75
