Boy Scout Troop 148 of Queenstown assembled and installed benches and picnic tables at Ferry Point Park in April, 2010. The event was lead by Michael Gates of Troop 148 and was completed as Michael’s Eagle Scout Project. Queen Anne's County Recreation would like to thank and congratulate Michael and all who assisted for a job well done! |
Friends of Island Dog Park is a great group of dog lovers who have joined together to raise money to make improvements at Island Dog Park. One goal is to have lighting installed so the park can be used for longer periods, particularly during the winter months. Smaller projects include additional benches and picnic tables. The group cordially welcomes new members and their pups.
